On Another Note

Woke up thinking of Japanese assignment, an essay that needs writing and a portfolio that needs touching up...

FORGET IT...

Decided to go for a movie that was supposed to be seen on Xmas day which I got too lazy to go...
"The Curious Case of Benjamin Button" which is 2 hours and 47 mins long...
Starring BRAD PITT *not that i really love him.... but he's kinda cute... hehe*

The LARGE popcorn was really HUGE... Imagine 2 large and medium popcorn from GSC mixed into one....

The REGULAR drink was 2 large and 1 regular form GSC mixed into one...

Only sad thing is.... they only have salted popcorn... no caramel T.T... but I had butter as topping... hehe... gonna get fat ^.^ *look for a balloon when trying to spot me*

...Benjamin Button...

the not so nice version

...better...

Well... at the beginning I thought it was gonna be boring... or at least not as great as it turned out to be *depends on taste*

Basically it was about a person/kid *@.@* that grew/shrunk *@.@* from old to young...

Looking at the old Brad Pitt was really disturbing.. watching the show I was anticipating him to turn young.... which he did... hehehehe...

not a fan... but he really looks so YENG here......

So overall... the movie was good...

I had no idea that Brad Pitt could do that to his voice... hopefully it was his voice.... and... I was surprised he actually acted so well...

And as for the story itself... it is based on a book written by F. Scott Fitzgerald... which I only found out when the movie ended... Tempted to read his stuff...

It's a movie filled with meaningful life lessons and beautiful quotes... There's also a tinge of humor and the occasional smart remarks and comments one just can't stop smiling/laughing at...
*yes, this is free advertisement for this movie*

If you've watched the movie... here are tons of quotes form the movie... i like almost all of them... hehe...
http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0421715/quotes

If you like movie's with meaning, enjoy beautiful quotes, understand spoken humor and don't mind movies set in the 1930's this is definitely two... no... make that 2 thumbs and 2 big toes... up...

HOLY MOTHER

HOLY HOLY HOLY HOLY MOTHER~~~ *imagine me singing this tunelessly*

Exams are over!!!
*but that's not why I'm so happpppppyyyyyyy*

Had a meeting today at Uvic...
When i left the building... it was RAINING... or so i thought...
The ground was wet, umbrellas were up, hoodies were on...
HOLY MOTHER I had no umbrella or even a hoody!!

And then the me with glasses
*the one without eyes with a power of 300 and 100*
Smart me realised that rain don't float around in the air!!!
HOLY MOTHER
Its SNOW!!!

Today is the first day this year that it snowed in Victoria, Canada
*Even the warmest place in Canada snows =.="*
Today is the first day I experience REAL SNOW falling from the sky
*not the half man made one's i skied on in Korea*
After 18 long years...
*Please record this day in history its more important than world war!!*

Well the snow here is not those pure white kind that layers the floor up to one's knees.
It's more like ice shaving one uses to make ice kacang. *I'm hungry*
The moment it touches a surface, it melts immediately.
Causing one to believe it was never snow but just rain.

Now I'm blogging because some people complain this blog is deeeeeaaaad... Just had a cup of WARM CHOCOLATE with MARSHMALLOWS in a cold weather ^.^ *heavenly*

That's all for now~~~ HOLY MOTHER

Stroll
Descending the bus,
I set of on a stroll which changed a part of me.
Starting off with quick paced foot steps and a silent mind,
Ending up in a slow stroll and a thought filled mind.

Why have I never noticed,
How simple life could be...

If only you did not worry,
About what was to be.
Let things go at it's own pace,
Like how I strolled at my own.

If only you could see,
Trying to stand out is futile,
No one notices things when it's alone.
Like the autumn trees,
Each parading it's own colour,
And yet they look best together.

If only you could take,
A simple break; Even a minute will do,
To just listen to the silence.
How something so unnoticed,
Can bring so much to the mind.
Like the silence during my stroll,
There was the occasional sounds of car's and children,
But yet when you really listen,
The silence is there.
Lying in the background,
Not rushing you to realize it's existence
And yet the moment I realized,
It had so much to say that I was engulfed in silence.

If one would put away grudges,
And befriend one's enemy.
Like the little kids,
Who hated their mother,
When she stopped them from playing,
And yet cheered with joy,
When they heard about dinner.

Life could really be simple,
If we would just allow it to be.
Taking a simple stroll,
Helped made mine simpler.

Time to get used to things,
Time to move on,
Time to let go,

CANADA

Each of us have our own journey,
What started out as a journey of a group,
Might end up a solo journey,
Although seperated physically,
We are forever bound by memories.

When I first arrived, everything was so overwhelming... it was as if tv came alive...
it made me realise how small Malaysia is... and how big the world outside is...

Neways... stuff not in Msia...

Trailer parks
Bed and Breakfast
Houses without gates *big deal*
Streets that looks like Wisteria Lane
Maple Leaves
HUGE campus
Taxi's with GPS
Cycling lanes
People USING zebra crossing

Feel so ULU... exclaiming at things that the people here are so used to seeing...

Canadians are soo friendly... Smiled and wave to some strangers.... They're so polite... ahahaha.... so different from Malaysia... Malaysia you smile at starngers they think you're some mad women or that you're after money =.="

It's bout 11.43 here... time diff bout 15 hours... gtg sleep... ehe... will update ASAP... pics to come later.... XD
